About

Managing schedules, expectations and egos while trying to carve out space for you own desires can seem almost impossible.

The Feminine Art of Balance offers tools, strategies and support for women who are ready to take control of their lives.
Through our podcasts, blog and personal development workshops we help increase peace and fulfillment by encouraging sisters to identify and transform certain behaviors that negatively impact our careers, relationships, and overall sense of well being.

For more information on the program and updates on our new programs and workshops, sign up for the F.A.B. Life 101 newsletter.

Shawna Renee

Shawna on throne

“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” ~Audre Lorde

Shawna Renee is an award winning international broadcaster and wellness expert.  As a radio personality, she’s hosted shows for Radio One, CBS Radio, SiriusXM and Voice of America.

Shawna is best known for her work as host and executive producer of Cocoa Mode, a weekly national radio show on SiriusXM she created in 2007 after recognizing the need for programming dedicated to exploring the role of women of color in areas of social justice, community building and entrepreneurship.

For nearly 10 years, millions of listeners tuned into her show on SiriusXM in search of information and inspiration on creating balance in their lives, homes and communities.

Shawna has since taken her passion for women’s wellness and empowerment a step further by creating a group coaching program called the Feminine Art of Balance.

In 2014, after being diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer, Shawna expanded the vision of F.A.B. by using her skill as a storyteller and her training as a wellness educator to craft workshops for women in transition looking to gain clarity, build confidence and adopt healthier lifestyle habits. She also facilitates communication and wellness workshops around the country for organizations committed to strengthening communities from the inside out.   She’s given talks on a number of topics including…

  • Mastering the Feminine Art of Balance
  • Holistic and Integrative Health tips for Women of Color
  • Relationship Building and Communication
  • Life Strategies for Women in Transition
